May 2019

MAY was a fairly warm month and we saw a lot of owners out for the AGM on the 16th.

Tha AGM went quite smoothly and took less than 2 hours, the main concerns being Dogs and noisey tennants.

The top gardens are also a problem at the moment and we have told Jose to clean up the cuttings etc and water regularly.

Cleaning was also a concern to some owners as it seems some parts of the complex are not cleaned as regularly as others, this is being addressed.

In the main people are quite happy with the complex and were very happy to learn that for the 10th year running we are not increasing community fees.

I was sad to see John Sherry leave the committee as he has been an asset to the Heights and the committee, however he says he will still assist us when needed, Steve Dent volunteered to step in to John’s Duties thanks for that.

We have no major expenditures this year but there is a fair bit of ongoing maintenance to be done, we will concentrate on that .

I thank you all for your support over the years and for re electing this committee we will carry on working to make the Heights a better place to live.

Thanks Paul

April 2019

Last Updated on Monday, 6 May 2019 08:52 Written by Paul Tassell Monday, 6 May 2019 08:52

The weather in April was again changeable , one minute very hot and sunny and the next cloudy and dull  but still warm. Some evenings were a bit on the cool side.

Its AGM time and as you all know the notices have gone out for our annual meeting at the Don Quiote Restaurant on 16.05.2019 . Please make sure you return your proxy votes before that date.

We have installed the gate at the top of the complex to allow access to the top gardens for the owners who showed an interest in maintaining the gardens, we do not want people walking dogs etc in these gardens.

John Sherry will be leaving the committee at this AGM and I wish to thank him for all the help and support  he has given us over the past 10 years, thanks so much.

Apart from John the rest of the committee will stand as this year for re election.

I wish to thank all the committee members for their support this year as always.

Our problems on the heights remain the same year after year mainly .Dogs, barking and defecating on our complex, noisy apartments , a majority of wich are owners and long term tenants.   We do try to address these problems and we regularly send out letters and on a few occasions we have denounced dog owners, we will carry on with this action but we seem to be knocking our heads against a brick wall with some dog owners.

I hope to see a good number of you at the meeting on the 16th,

Paul

March 2019

Better late than never they say. I have had a very busy time just recently.

The complex is fairly quiet at the moment and the weather changeable but still warm.

DOGS we have had many complaints again about dogs barking and generally being a disturbance to neighbours,in particular an apartment on A1 AND D1 both these are occupied by the owners who seem to have no respect for their neighbours or the community.

I understand that emails are flying round saying that this committee wants to turn the complex into a commercial vacation site. I can assure you that this is totally opposite to the truth and if the person sending out the false information had taken the time and courtesy to speak to me before spreading these ridiculous rumours he could have saved himself a lot of time and embarrassment.

We are ready to send out the notification for the AGM on Thursday 16 May at Don Quiote restaurant, The time is short but we have been waiting for the accounts to be finalised.

Recently it has been pointed out to us that some people are still allowing their children in the pool area without them even though it is against Spanish law and we have signs up reminding people under 12’s MUST have an adult with them in the pool area at all times, large inflatables are also banned

We wish you all well and a good Easter.

Paul
