June 2026 update
Presidents comments.
Due to ongoing problems with my hip and various hospital appointments, Dennis our Vice President has been covering me for the last month, he has the Emergency Day mobile phone and has been dealing with the daily complex issues, he has done a fantastic job, so I would like to say a big thank you to him, and also to his wife Linda, it really is a demanding thankless job.
I have just seen an email from Universal Properties, an incorrect amount has been deducted for this Julys community fees, it should have increased by 15 percent, but looks to be 30 percent, they are dealing with the issue.
From the letters we sent out to owners of apartments we thought were being used as illegal holiday rents, it turned out that a lot of them actually had a valid VV licence, but had failed to inform us, these owners will now be charged the extra 20 percent on community fees. We still have one apartment outstanding on C3, they have failed to respond, and we have identified the advert on Booking.com, as soon as Viktoria returns to work we will be looking to move forward with this.
Can you please make sure we have up to date contact details for you, we need current phone numbers and email addresses in case of any emergencies.
Complex news/ issues/updates.
Matilda our cleaner has gone on long term sick leave and not expected to return this year, we have a replacement from Nicanor’s company who will cover until Matilda returns.
DIGI, have now completed the fibre network on the entire complex, which was completed quickly and with virtually no issues, if you want to move over to DIGI, they are offering 500 Mbps for 8.84 per month, but they also have lots of packages which include mobile phone bundles at incredible prices, you just need to call Irina on 643 72 32 44, she will come to your house and sort everything out for you, the install is very quick, Dennis (VP) says it’s very fast.
Please keep a look out for Termites, we think there may be an issue with an apartment on C block, the owner is aware and looking in to it. They infest door surrounds and any wooden items.
We have had a request from an owner ( Tommy), who asked if some extra charging points for mobility scooters could be added to other blocks on the complex, we currently only have 2 available in garage area B block. This is something that the committee will be looking at in the coming months.
The Swimming pool.
The next couple of months will be the busiest of the year, we ask all people who use the pool to respect other users, and the rules which are clearly displayed.
Unfortunately we have had to replace the large tank in the pool pump room, we have been repairing it for over a year, the price was better than expected, initially we thought it would be around 900 euros, however Dennis and Nicanor sourced one for just over 400 euros, and it’s already been changed.
Library open every Wednesday from 10am to 11am, located by the post boxes . Not open on public holidays.
Emergency night / Disturbance.
Starts 11pm till 7am, you can call them on 671 14 66 16. If you have a problem, please call them.
Nothing to mention, just the usual, people out on terraces being noisy after 11pm, but in general the complex is quiet.
What’s happening in and around Los Cristianos.
Thank you for taking the time to read this update.
Steve.
