September 2026 update

Presidents comments.

Once again, cats and dogs are causing issues on the complex, we have received complaints from our cleaners, and owners, about fouling around the complex. I think we need to add this as an item on the agenda of the next AGM, to vote on a fixed penalty fine, say 40 euros to be added to the next quarterly community fees of the apartment we identify as the culprit.

Complex news/ issues/updates.

We had damage to the front gate lock, someone had forced the catch to open by giving it a very hard push ( obviously didn’t have a blue chip), our camera was off line so we couldn’t identify the moron responsible.

We had some really unruly holiday makers on C2, going out in the evening and coming back at 6am in the morning, then start fighting and arguing, after visits from our security and complaints from neighbours, I contacted the owners and they evicted them within a couple of hours. I thank the owners for the swift response.

We had a similar situation on B3 ( holds a VV), coming home in the early hours, on the terrace till after 5am, running about in the corridors, the owner was contacted and shown the security report, they left very soon afterwards. Once again thank you for the fast response.

We had 2 instances of dog owners allowing their dogs to foul in the garage, one was just inside the garage by the door, and the other just by the door to B block, both right under a CCTV camera !!, we identified who the owners were, and I went and presented the video evidence to them, they then went and cleaned the mess up, its disgusting. As per above, when we can clearly identify properties that own the offending pet, if we can hand out a fine for the clean up/dirty deed, the owner of that apartment might see that a “ no pets clause” in the rental contract isn’t such a bad idea.

Saturday evening at 7.30pm we had a burst pipe in the large garden by the entrance ramp, it was turned off at the stop cock, and passed to Nicanor to deal on the Monday.

A leak was reported in the men’s toilet at the weekend, it was turned off at the mains and left for Nicanor to deal.

A block lift had an issue, the lift car was stopping 10cm short of the floor of A4, Otis attended and the issue was fixed.

Problems with right hand side lighting on all floors of C block, every time the auto lights switched on it tripped the circuit breaker, the fault could have been anywhere on the 5 floors, we had to contact an electrician to locate the fault, which is now fixed.

We had reports of the front gate sticking open, when it was fully opened,

this is due to the very hot weather we have been having, the tiles and tarmac expanding, now its a few degrees cooler its not a problem.

The temporary Emergency telephone numbers in all 4 lifts are due to be replaced soon, with the correct style/format to match the existing wording.

The Swimming pool.

At last we have dates for the work to re-tile the pool area, the pool will be closed from 2nd November to the 18th December a period of 6 weeks, we realise this will be an inconvenience to some bathers, however we have the use of the pool in the DINASTIA complex, we would like to thank Linda Brown the President for her kind offer, we expect it to be open from 9.30am to just before sunset, entrance will be via the Goodfellas gate, notices are being put up around the pool and entrances to inform people of the dates, and how to access the other pool. The Clouds pool bar will be open as usual during this time.

Emergency night / Disturbance.

Start 11pm till 7am, you can call them on 617647928 If you have a problem, please call them, nothing major to report this month, please ensure your guests respect the complex rules.

What’s happening in and around Los Cristianos.

No news for this month.

Thank you for taking the time to read this update.

Steve.
