SEPTEMBER 2022

September was very hot but we had storms  towards the end of the month with torrential rain and winds. Although there were a lot of problems like the airports closing, flash floods and rock falls it wasn’t as bad as the weather men had predicted. We were luckier in the south than the North of the island and it did cause a few problems around the complex with electrics and excess water.                                                                                                       This also causes a  lot of work for the cleaning staff and it takes them some time to get back to their normal cleaning rota.  This combined with the fact that the calimas are coming more regularly means we must thank the cleaners for all their hard work.

We all saw the very sad but also quite beautiful scenes around the UK after the Queens sad death and funeral, I think it probably touched everybodys hearts. We now wish King Charles all the very best and I am sure he will do a good job.

The next meeting of the committee will be held on Thursday 3rd November at 10.30 am.

Now the summer holidays are over we start looking forward to the Christmas period and we will be looking out the decorations etc and getting ready to put them up next month, I honestly don’t know where this year has gone it seems to have flown by.

We are expecting a bit more rain in the next week or so and then we will recommence work on some of the walls that need repairing around the complex.

Josè will be painting the trastero doors for the electric cupboards and water rooms. We have had a few comments about the state of some trastero doors, if you own a trastero please make sure they are painted white and in an acceptable condition and some of the white security railings also need painting.

We have  put signs on some carparking spaces asking for all furniture and rubbish to be removed as they are a fire risk and it is not permitted to use your parking space as a general store. Please make sure you are parked behind your white line and not over it. Some people have parked a motorbike behind their car which in some cases means they protrude over the white line, which in turn causes hazards for other garage users.

That’s all for now  please take care Paul
