JULY 2021

July was a good month here weather wise , sun shining most days and 25 to 29 degree temperatures,

Unfortunately the numbers of covid infections and hospitalisation started to grow even faster and the Canarian government raised the incidence level to 4.

Going into level 4 has  made it impossible to commence the sunbeds around the pool area as the regulations on pools were tightened even more.

Some people on the complex are saying that it is ridiculous that they cannot rent a sunbed but under current laws we would have to clean beds every time they became vacant, this would need a full time attendant at the pool area when our permitted numbers are  8 in the BIG pool  and 2 in the small pool with 16 people around the pool area. THIS IS THE LAW AND NOT NUMBERS MADE UP BY THE COMMITTEE.                                                                  The penalties for not adhering to these laws are fines from 15,000 euros on first offence. We are not prepared to put the complex in that position.                                                          PLEASE read the signs and adhere to them, there are many signs around the area but basic ally it is common sense and the sooner we get our numbers down and we go into lower incidence rate we will get the sunbeds going again.                                                                        IT IS ALSO A MATTER OF LAW that you must                                                                                 USE THE HAND CLEANSER                                                                                                                 PUT YOUR APARTMENT NUMBER on the appointment board outside the gate                      DO NOT LEAVE GATE UNLOCKED,  people are stopping the gate latching and young children are running in and out of the pool area unchecked,

There are a few more people around and it is loverly to see some owners who have not been here for 12 to 18 months,we look forward to seeing many more over the next few months .

Jose is carrying out general maintenance on the complex, painting  etc ,

Matilda unfortunately fell and broke 2 bones in her foot and we are now working with a contract cleaner again, she is recovering well and we wish her a quick and full recovery, we all send our best wishes to her .

I hope you all have a good summer even if you don’t manage to get to Tenerife  and see you soon.

Paul
