The Heights

August 2026 update

Presidents comments.

We have a new administrator for The Heights, who has replaced Viktoria, her name is Nicole, we had our first committee meeting with her, and she seems keen to deal with our issues. Lets hope she stays longer than the last one !!.

Our Emergency night number has changed, you will have had an email from Universal Properties, this was completely out of our hands, and has caused some issues with the complex signage, the stuck on emergency number showing in the lifts is temporary and will have to be changed, this is being arranged and will be corrected asap, Universal Properties will be picking up the bill for this work, please add the new number to your mobile phone 617647928.

Complex news/ issues/updates.

We had a problem with C block lift, it was reported that it was dripping oil from the ceiling, Otis attended and fixed the problem.

On the 12th August at 10am, we lost all water to the complex, all surrounding buildings were also affected , this was due to a damaged mains pipe, it was off all day till 7pm, its a good idea to keep some filled 5 litre bottles handy, just in case.

We had a large water pump that supplies B block refurbished, there was no disruption to any apartments, due to the fact that each block has 2 pumps that alternate pumping the water supply.

We signed a new contract with Pure Water, that pays us an income from the water machine, they use our water and electricity so its only fair we get money back.

Our debtors list is increasing, the community fees only increased by a small amount for the first time in 15 years, we have 2 owners waiting to attend court, and some others that will be passed to our Lawyer if the debt isn’t paid soon, the best option is to set up a direct debit with Universal Properties as this will prevent you falling into arrears.

We have had a few complaints about the contract cleaner covering Matilda, this has been taken seriously and was discussed at the last committee meeting, we are keeping a very careful eye on the situation.

We have had questions about the work on a trastero by the garage ramp,

its having some windows fitted to improve ventilation, apparently this was agreed many years ago at an AGM, but the work has only recently begun, its owned by Universal Properties, and is used as a storage room for old files/documents from all the complexes that they look after, it will not be used as living accommodation.

Remember if you want to change over your WIFI to Digi, call Irina on 643 723 244

The Swimming pool.

No major problems to report, one of the mixer pumps that maintain the PH levels in the pools had an issue, it was taken out and stripped down and cleaned, its working ok for now.

The pools will be closed early November, for around 6 weeks, while the area is retiled, it will be open before Christmas, The President of Dinastia has kindly agreed that during that period we can all use their pool while ours is out of action. We will provide more details next month in the next update.

To those people who prefer not to pay for a sunbed, and use their own down at the pool, please make sure you take them back to your apartment when you leave the pool for the day, you cant leave them at the pool ready for the next time you use it, the other Sunday I removed 8 beds, 2 folding chairs, lots of floats and a large inflatable.

Emergency night / Disturbance.

Starts 11pm till 7am, you can call them on 617647928 ( new number). If you have a problem, please call them. Nothing major to report

What’s happening in and around Los Cristianos.
