September 2025 update
Presidents comments.
Fairly quiet month, the kids are back to school now after 3 months off. We have an issue with children using the walkways between A and B block as a cycle track, going from one end to the other, my wife who is recovering from a fractured ankle was nearly knocked over, I have spoken to the tenant and the owner and hopefully it will now stop before someone gets hurt, we are in the process of updating the signage on the complex to make it clearer that community areas are not play areas, we had similar problems between B and C some years back.
A couple of owners have commented how nice the Solarium is looking with all the plants and flowers, thank you Nicanor.
Complex news/ issues/updates.
Nicanor has been on annual leave, and we have a temporary maintenance man ” Jesus” looking after the complex.
“A” block lift, garage level, call button was damaged and left hanging by it’s wires, which caused some disruption to people with mobility issues until OTIS could repair.
“B” block garage fire door has been replaced, the old one was badly damaged over the years, it took a few weeks from the initial ordering, to fitting, this was due to us not being informed it had to be shipped from the main land, the cost was just under 1000 euros. The walls between the two doors have been repainted to freshen it all up. The walls for “A” block garage doors have also been painted to match, it’s looking much better.
Several complaints about cats roaming the complex, messing/peeing, I spoke to an owner again last week, who told me it’s not her cats causing the problems, apparently there are 4 other cats on the complex, but we are unsure of which apartments they belong to. If anyone knows which apartment has cats please let us know.
The mobility scooter charging point door was damaged, someone had bent the door open to get access to the electrical socket, fortunately it was repairable.
There was an issue reported by an owner, about the auto lights on B2 not working, this has been fixed.
I got a call from from Clouds bar, someone had locked themselves out of an apartment, as this was a holiday rental booking from a .com company, it’s not a Heights emergency and nothing to do with us, they were advised to contact the booking agent.
Yanira our cleaner has been off on annual leave most of this month, we had a cleaner from Nicanor’s company who has done a great job.
The Ceiling in the light well by B301 has now been plastered and repainted, this was remedial work done by the insurance company from a leaking shower tray above.
C block had water problems, and was without any water for around 2 hours, this was first diagnosed by our covering site maintenance man as a pump failure, but was actually a pump gaskget, which was a relief, sometimes things get lost in translation !!.
We keep getting requests for garage keys, these can only be given to people who have a parking space ( which we verify).
The Swimming pool.
No major issues, slight leak on one of the large tanks in the pump room, this was the same tank I mentioned last year in a blog, it’s has been fixed and looks to be dry for now, fingers crossed.
Now the sun is setting earlier, we don’t have so many people using the pool after dark, so we are not having to go down so often to lock the gate .
Library open every Wednesday from 10am to 11am, located by the post boxes . Not open on public holidays. Thank you to Linda Carey, for her continued help with the library, it’s appreciated !!.
